What Is An AI Outbound Calling Agent?

An AI outbound calling agent is a voice-enabled software system that uses machine learning and natural language processing to conduct human-like conversations in real-time.

AI outbound agent reviews by TrustFirms

It automates and manages outgoing customer calls by combining advanced speech recognition, telephony infrastructure and decision engines.

When a call connects, the Speech-to-Text (STT) engine converts the customer’s voice into text (structured data). The Natural Language Processing (NLP) interprets the intent of the customer and analyses their sentiment.

Next, a response engine uses these details to generate context aware responses. A Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine along with machine learning, converts this text response into voice-enabled responses to the customer.

These agents enable outbound call centers to reach more customers, follow-up on potential customers, and personalize the conversations and workflow.

With the right AI outbound calling agents, businesses can drive more sales, create potential leads, conduct surveys, and also implement proactive customer service.

Best White-Label AI Outbound Calling Agents In 2026

I reviewed the best custom AI outbound calling agents, including MirrorFly, CONTUS, Apphitect, Cognigy, Dialpad, BotPenguin, Conversica, Insighto, Regie, and Exotel.

1. MirrorFly: Best for white-label AI outbound calling agent

What does it do?

MirrorFly AI voice agent is a white-label CPaaS solution for web or mobile apps.

If you are running your platform on an on-prem server, use MirrorFly to build and deploy AI agents for outbound calling. The solution gives you complete control over your data as well as your business workflows.

Who is it for?

Perfect for teams of all sizes. Especially, if you are an enterprise-organization belonging to healthcare, telecom and financial service teams.

Let me put this straight-forward: MirrorFly is different from every other AI outbound calling agent I’ve been testing out.

It’s a white-label CPaaS platform that lets you create and deploy AI outbound calling agents. Now, where does it differ?

It’s the only option where you don’t rent the solution, but you run it. You get the source code, host the agent anywhere you want – on your own servers, a private cloud, or MirrorFly’s multi-tenant cloud infrastructure.

The solution is RAG-based and model-agnostic. Train your agent with your business data. And, choose any model from OpenAI or Anthropic.

This lets you personalize every call to your customer. The agent understands what exactly they need and delivers an accurate response. I’d put this in simple words as – the agents built with MirrorFly hallucinate less.

Next, MirrorFly supports both LangChain and LangGraph. This lets you connect the third-party tools you use everyday.

Centralize all your tools by sending and receiving data from external platforms like CRM using Webhooks. Or use an MCP server to connect the agent with your platform. You get a workflow builder to set how and when your agent must speak to your customer. Connect APIs, forms or any custom element you need to set your workflow.

Even better, it can run multiple calls simultaneously.

So, while one agent is talking to someone, another is already on the phone with a different prospect.

Also, the agents can make multi-modal conversations. They can make voice calls and switch to text if the customer prefers to.

Plus, the hand-off is quick and structured with SIP. The agent also can connect a conference with human agents to keep calls going without losing context.

What is the pricing?

MirrorFly’s offers its AI agents for a custom pricing. If you are interested in testing out MirrorFly before you arrive at a decision, go for a free demo.

The team will connect with you to discuss your requirements, hosting preferences and will walk you through the product hands-on.

2. CONTUS TECH: Best for enterprise-grade custom AI calling

What does it do?

CONTUS TECH is a software development company serving across the globe. You can purchase SaaS products, self-hosted products and AI agents for your business. Also, you can hire their expert team to build your outbound calling infrastructure end-to-end.

Who is it for?

Well suited for businesses that need a white-label solution to build AI outbound calling agents around their exact business logic.

After a week with AI agents built with CONTUS TECH, I felt they were more natural than they are.

I could automate lead generation, change the agent’s language and integrate it with my CRM.

Besides this, I routed calls to specific client locations, escalated calls to human agents based on sentiment triggers. Altogether it made me feel like a full toolkit for building my white-label agents.

Using CONTUS TECH’s AI voice agent solution and ElevenLabs, I built an agent that called customers.

Additionally, it can verify who the customer is and then trigger the backend workflows in real-time.

This struck me. CONTUS TECH can handle the full-stack of an outbound calling agent without any performance concerns.

They publicly display the ROI numbers for AI outbound calling based on projects they took up in the recent years.

According to their claim, a mid-sized agency that runs CONTUS TECH’s AI agent is handling over 100 – 200 monthly leads. By just following up on the missed calls from customers, the agents recovered over $8000 – $15000 back into the business

I did a simple math to figure out if this is possible. If an AI agent contacts leads within 5 mins, they are 21x more likely to convert.

Can a human agent handle multiple calls simultaneously in 5 mins? Practically not. So CONTUS TECH helps businesses achieve them by building AI agents.

What is the pricing?

CONTUS TECH charges a custom fee based on the project. Their team offers a few consultations to discuss the scope before committing to the project.

3. Apphitect: Best for building white-lael outbound AI agents

What does it do?

Apphitect is a white-label, self-hosted AI voice agent platform built for enterprises and SaaS companies that want to deploy an outbound calling agent under their own brand.

Who is it for?

Perfect for large-scale teams who are looking for customized AI voice agent solutions, without depending on a third-party vendor’s cloud.

I personally felt Apphitect sits in the same white-label, self-hosted category as MirrorFly

Using the latest Anthropic model, I could adjust how expressive each line felt. I did this by just making minor changes to the guardrails.

Also, I added a specific-personality to each of my agents by setting up tone and formality.

For a healthcare agent, I set it to be more empathetic and for a sales agent, I tweaked it to sound confident.

In my experience, I’ve noticed most outbound agents execute a set-script. They ask customers the right questions, pick the leads and add them to a CRM. But the Apphitect went a step further to recommend what the customer must do next.

After each call, the agent analyses the customer’s responses, requirements and satisfaction levels to improve and train itself. For future calls, this feedback loop improved the model’s performance.

If you are using a telephony infrastructure already, Apphitect does not require you to change it. You simply need to connect to the solution’s SIP trunking to implement call transfer functionalities.

If you have multiple clients in your agency or SaaS business, maintaining an outbound calling system is  easy with Apphitect.

You can give each client a fully isolated environment with unique branding and configuration for each of them. You’ll manage only one deployment but keep data separately, and securely.

What is the pricing?

Offers AI voice agents for a custom pricing, with a lifetime license access. If you need more details, contact Apphitect’s sales team for a discovery call.

4. Cognigy: Best for large-scale enterprises with advanced telephony

What does it do?

Cognigy is an enterprise AI automation platform. It is capable of handling complex conversations. Plus, it handles outbound and inbound voice calls that have multiple steps in the conversation flow.

Who is it for?

Cognigy is the right fit for teams that need a white-label AI agent to proactively reach customers, understand their needs, and automatically generate responses without  human intervention.

Cognigy comes with an Agentic AI solution that helps you build goal-based outbound calling agents. Honestly, I wouldn’t suggest Cognigy to startups. They are best for large-scale businesses that handle billions of concurrent calls,

These agents, unlike the regular ones, are capable of making decisions based on what happens in their conversation with the customer.

One specific feature that I liked in Cognigy and would expect from other providers is the Flow Editor. What it does is simple, but critical for businesses.

The editor can retrieve a conversation and spot frictions. You can easily make changes to flow instantly.

Why do I think it is important? Businesses can improve the flow each time and make sure potential leads convert, or customers get what exactly they want.

Even when the agent comes across an unexpected query or message from the customer, it doesn’t deliberately respond with an empty message or an error.

Instead, it reads between the lines. The agent tries to understand and reason what exactly the customer needs.

This is a rare capability. I believe such nuances are why customers like E.ON run 30+ AI solutions, automating 70% of its operations with Cognigy.

What is the pricing?

Cognigy does not publicly disclose its pricing. I contacted their sales team and got a demo to understand their offerings. If you are thinking about selecting Cognigy as your AI outbound calling platform, connect with their team.

5. Dialpad: Best for AI-powered real-time coaching for sales teams

What does it do?

Dialpad is a cloud communication platform that offers AI agent solutions to coach human reps on live calls with customers, and generates automated conversation summaries.

Who is it for?

I see Dialpad as a clean fit for sales teams and contact centers that want to keep human agents for outbound calling.

These organizations can employ Dialpads AI agents to assist and improve every single call.

Dialpad owns DialGPT, proprietary language models to build AI conversational coaches. When a conversation starts between your agent and a customer, the AI listens for specific triggers.

You’ll see a live coach card that has hints. These notes contain details like insights about the customer, which direction the conversation must go forward, and any specific details about the product/ service.

Your agent need not search every detail manually, rather these agents help them instantly make the conversations truly valuable for the customer.

I tested this feature to check how it works. During this call I intentionally gave the regular pricing details to the customer. The Live Coach Card gave me a hint on the recent discount the business was offering.

In a real call for a job inquiry, before I answered the call, the coach card showed me the details of the customer, their inquiry and the requirements in real-time.

This helped me prepare myself with the right information, turning this into a lead.

That said, Dialpad is a perfect option for businesses that are focused on delivering value to their customers over outbound calls.

The solution also comes with an AI scorecard to give a score for each call, based on the criteria set by the managers.

I specifically liked its summarization feature. When a call ends, I don’t have to write notes manually.

Instead, the AI generated the entire notes, logged the information in my CRM and added instructions on what to do next.

What is the pricing?

DialPad offers AI agents in 3 different pricing packages: The Standard Plan starts at $27/user/month, the Pro package starts at $35/user/ month. For features and services beyond this, you may need to pick their enterprise plan.

6. BotPengui: Best for no-code, multi-channel AI for SMBs

What does it do?

BotPenguin helps businesses set up their AI outbound calling campaigns. You sign up, describe what your bot must do, and then upload your contact list.

That’s it! Your bot goes live – often on the same day.

Who is it for?

If you do not have a tech team, or a large infrastructure to handle everything on your own, BotPenguin can support your projects with its no-code AI solution.

Let me make it clear about what BotPenguin actually is, and what it isn’t.

When you compare BotPenguin’s customization with other features on this list, you might be wrong. Neither is it suitable for setting up a large-scale contact center.

But, it is a perfect solution for SMB that are currently making outbound calls only manually. Most of the startups who use BotPenguin already praise the solution for its quality.

The AI pauses, listens, understands the intent of the person on the other end of the conversation. It keeps the decision-making really quick.

You’ll also find setting up the AI very easy.

To test this product, I signed up for an account with BotPenguin. I created a healthcare agent and set its tone to be friendly.

For this review, I had a sample contact list prepared.. I uploaded it and connected my free CRM account. The list automatically synced with my tool.

Next I set the campaign scheduling for appointment reminders, and took the bot live.

Overall, my experience with BotPenguin was satisfactory. I’d recommend this AI solution to any SMB owner whose team is dialling customers manually for daily operations.

What is the pricing?

BotPenguin offers a Free plan called the Baby Plan

  • The second plan called the ‘Little Plan’ offers 3000 messages, 5 chatbots and 5 human agents at $29.
  • The third plan called the ‘King Plan’ offers 12000 messages, unlimited chatbots, AI voice agents and AI agents, along with 10 human agents.

Beyond this, you can get unlimited access to all of BotPenguin’s offerings, with its ‘Emperor Plan’.

7. Conversica: Best for revenue-focused AI for lead management

What does it do?

Conversica is an enterprise conversational platform that lets you build your own Revenue Digital Assistants.

These Intelligent Virtual Assistants (IVAs) drive two-way conversations. They can handle all your outbound emails, SMS and even web chat.

If there is an overdue payment or renewals pending at the customer’s end, your bot can remind them.

They can follow-up with the customer for first touch lead qualification, handle upsell conversations and active dead-leads on your CRM.

Who is it for?

If you have an enterprise revenue team, and handle a large database full of contacts, Conversica might be a good fit for you.

Also, if your team does not have the time or bandwidth to work on all the leads in your list, Conversica’s AI agents can assist you in covering them through calls and convert qualified leads.

Conversica is a battle-tested conversational engine for revenue teams. It has over 50+ intent models.

I found them delivering accurate responses to most of my questions. Seems the NLP/ NLG are trained with real business conversations for over a decade.

I checked customer responses for this AI assistant. One popular ROI that kept coming back is this Labor Day verbatim:

“The customer actually responded on Friday of Labor Day weekend, when everybody was out of the office. But our AI Agent was there. The rep got back into the office on Tuesday, picked up the phone, and responded to the customer live. And by Friday, we had a $500,000 deal.”

– John Hansen, Sr. Director of Field Marketing, Iron Mountain (via Conversica case study)

Conversica’s AI outbound calling agents cover 4 primary functions:

  1. Marketing: The agents make sure to invite the targeted audience to events (virtual or physical). They follow-up the attendees after the event for their feedback and guidance.
Next, they initiate conversations every time a visitor clicks on an ad or downloads a document from the website.
  2. Sales: The IVA carries out 2-way conversations with customers.
First they understand whether the customer has genuine interest in buying the product or service. Only after confirming this, it sends the lead data to the sales reps.
  3. Customer Success: The IVA consistently monitors the customer’s experience with the business, identifies churn risks and initiates conversations accordingly.
  4. Finance: The IVA follows up on upcoming renewals and overdues.

What is the pricing?

Conversica pricing generally starts at approximately $2999 per month and their Enterprise plans range between $5 000 – $10 000 per month.

8. Insighto.ai: Best for Pay-As-You-Go AI Agents

What does it do?

Insighto.ai is a no-code phone calling and chat platform. This AI engine helps businesses, especially small and medium-scales to build, train and deploy AI agents for inbound and outbound calling.

You’ll need no coding knowledge to set up this agent.

Who is it for?

If your business is currently paying for human reps, you might want to try this pay-as-you-go option.

I also came across customers who’ve switched from Bland.ai and Vapi to Insighto as the former are expensive and developer-heavy.

One user on AppSumo described her experience this way:

“I currently have an answering service with real people answering phone calls, and a lot of times, the customer is put on hold with music for a long time…Now I’m able to collect information from callers and will be replacing my answering service with Insighto Call Agents..”

Source: AppSumo

This experience perfectly captures what exactly Insighto can offer to businesses. The AI solution has helped multiple users from zero to live call agents almost on the same day or by next morning.

After all these reviews, I was excited to test this out myself. I signed up for my account, and claimed $10 free credits.

I just used my Google account to log into the dashboard. I clicked on the ‘Create Assistant’ button.

Name my agent ‘Amanda’, chose the model as (Beta) Conversational  Flow, picked GPT-4o, chose the LLM temperature as 0.2 to keep the agent more focused and deterministic.

Next I added the prompt to instruct my agent to handle regular inquiries like product details.

Once the guardrails were set up, I set the voice features for Amanda.

Next, I bulk imported my contact list as CSV and assigned custom fields. I connected this data source to Amanda. Next, I authenticated my hubspot account and connected it to my Insighto.ai account.

I connected my phone number via Plivo and then ran a test call. I did it all within 45 mins.

This was a sample assistant to test out Insighto’s features. When stretching it with detailed conversational flow instructions and data source preparation, I estimate the entire development could be achieved in just a day, as other users claim it to be.

What is the Pricing?

Insighto offers a Free trial.

The AI solution comes in 2 different pricing packages: Agency Starter at $299/month and Agency Pro at $499/month. The packages for end-users differ from the agency pricing.

9. Regie.ai: Best For Multi-Channel Outbound Sales Sequences

What does it do?

Regie.ai is an AI-native sales engagement platform that can execute all your campaigns with zero human intervention.

The agents are capable of writing personalized outreach emails across email, phone and LinkedIn.

They can source leads and handover calls to human reps with a detailed call transcript and the context of the full conversation.

Who is it for?

Regie.ai can act as a Rep in organizations where Sales Development Representatives are needed in large numbers.

B2B sales teams, specifically SDRs, AEs, and sales leaders widely prefer this autonomous AI agent which also acts as a force multiplier.

Regie.ai impressed me at one point, where others did not. They generate ROI documents from their own team. This is a clear proof of concept, rather than case studies with clients.

I needed clear data on how Regie.ai impacted businesses. Here are the numbers:

Before: The SDRs were adding 25 prospects per day, spending more than 20 hours per week on operational tasks.

After: The prospect count went up to 100 per day. The team discovered 26000 net-new leads with 40% converting into meetings.

The platform combines autonomous AI prospecting agents, a parallel dialer, content generation, contact enrichment, and intent-based prioritization into a single workspace called RegieOne.

So, how does Regie do this?

The platform employs Autopilot to autonomously add prospects, reducing manual efforts.

An AI dialer can make calls to prospects across 9 different lines parallely. To check the quality of these calls, I set a sample list.

To check the script was designed specifically, I added 2 different contact list with different contexts

For the first prospect, the note was added as a pain point. I included something like ‘Planning to expand our delivery to many cities’

The agent script was:

‘Hi Roslyn, glad you contacted us. Good to hear that you are expanding. Congratulations! Do you need support with last-mile delivery? I’d be happy to help”

For the first prospect,

I added a note that the prospect had downloaded a guide on ‘AI for patient appointment management’ last friday.

The agent script went this way:

“Hi Lucas, I hope you are our guide on AI for patient appointment management’. Do you need to reduce missed appointments? Can I assist you explore real solutions?

These scripts were real and natural. I’m sure setting up these scripts will definitely initiate conversations with the prospect.

If the prospect does not answer, the AI drops a voicemail in the rep’s clone voice.

These voicemails were not some random recording. Each message was uniquely curated for that prospect.

Besides the Autopilot, the Regie also supports SDR and AE (Account Executive) coaching.

Even if the teams are distributed across different regions, they can dial in together with live video.

During these calls, a manager listens in and reviews the sessions based on the AI-generated scores.

What is the Pricing?

AI SEP ( Sales Engagement Platform) is available at $180/user/month and Force Multiplier Rep is available for $499/user/month. You can directly talk to the sales team to understand which of these plans works best for you.

10. Exotel: Best for high-volume, & localized support

What does it do?

Exotel AI is a cloud contact center platform that helps businesses build custom chatbots and voicebots. You can optimize the customer experience (CX) and everyday outbound operations with real-time agent copilots. I specifically liked Exotel AI auditing 100% of agent conversations, without any compromise.

Who is it for?

If you run an enterprise-level business, and want to automate your customer engagement platform with GenAI and NLP, Exotel can help you do that. It particularly helps support teams, contact center managers, and IT teams which focus on improving CX with AI voice agents and conversational analytics.

If you are located in India or Southeast Asia, deploying voice AI using US-centric providers, you’re at risk.

Every time the system hops from the AI model, the telephony layers or the local carrier network, it causes latency.

The delay can go as high as 800ms to 1200 ms. This literally makes your calls feel broken.

Now, this is where my team and I found Exotel solving the latency problem. The provider’s AgentStream architecture can deliver sub-20ms media latency, keeping the delays below 800ms.

One more thing I liked about Exotel is the option to connect a custom LLM directly to the live audio stream through a WebSocket. Thankfully, we did not need a SIP server or a SBC middleware.

The second reason why I picked Exotel for this list is the awareness of CLI routing with STD code. In India, when an agent calls and the customer sees a wrong STD code on their phone, they might not answer the call.

Exotel manages this challenge by routing calls through an UL-VNO licensed operator. On top of this, Exotel supports more than 22 Indian languages. The agents use the STT/TTS layer to handle the dialect as natural as possible.

What is the Pricing?

Exotel’s AI automation is available for custom pricing. Their enterprise contact center solution is available in 3 plans: XPrime starting from $70, XPro starting from $100 and Xtrm for custom pricing.

My Recommendation

I thoroughly enjoyed this whole process of testing AI agents for outbound calling.

Personally, I prefer MirrorFly for building a fully white-label AI outbound calling agent and Insighto for quick deployment.

Insighto’s ability to easily create multilingual AI outbound calling agents without code is hard to match. It’s also the best for creating workflows.

Additionally, MirrorFly’s full customization, self-hosting and complete data control makes it a far more appealing tool than both Exotel and Dialpad

I also appreciate how it’s able to switch between agents and keep the ticket records clean and simple in my dashboard.

If I missed any AI calling agents in this post, please let me know in the comments. I’ll check and update it ASAP.
